I have been doing this small homesteading thing for a few years now. One important lesson I've learned is that my nice yoga and athletic clothes are not ideal for taking care of chickens, milking goats, or mucking out stalls; they can easily get damaged in the process. To keep my home clean and my clothes in good condition, I've found it beneficial to wear more practical clothing that I can easily remove in the mudroom before coming inside.

1. Boots:

In the first few years when I only had chickens, I wore Crocs. However, after getting a thorn in my foot, I decided it was time to upgrade. I didn't want to spend a lot of money, so I bought some ankle rain boots., they didn't last long , so i would buy another pair. I know slow learner over here. When we got horses, I got cowboy boots, but they were too cute to wear for everyday chores.

Last Christmas, I finally found the best boots for all my chores. No more cheap ankle rain boots I’ve even ridden a horse in them! They are from Walmart, easy to take on and off, really comfortable and so affordable!

2. Overalls

I absolutely love the ease, comfort, and versatility of overalls! They’re my go-to for almost any task on the homestead. Whether I'm wearing them over yoga pants for extra comfort, slipping them on over pajama pants for a lazy morning of chores, or just wearing them alone during the summer heat, they’re the perfect choice. 3. Sunscreen

I’m super particular about what goes on my skin, especially when it comes to sunscreen. I love this one!
